Data Sources
To improve taxonomic coverage and enhance the overall quality of the dataset, the target sequence capture data generated by PAFTOL (see Methods page) was augmented by a range of additional datasets retrieved from public repositories and contributed by partners. These additional data sources are indicated in the Kew Tree of Life Explorer and are documented below.
Public Repositories
Sequence data were retrieved from publicly accessible repositories hosted by the International Nucleotide Sequence Database Collaboration (INSDC). Data appear under the following labels depending on their type:
- INSDC: Annotated Genome
- INSDC: Unannotated Genome
- INSDC: Sequence Reads
Additionally, sequence data were sourced from the following published datasets:
- Dataset: OneKP
